Well... New Caledonian Crested gecko's were believed to be extinct until 1994, when after a tropical storm, high populations were found on their native Island of New Caledonia.

The problem is, ideally they are thought to live from 15 - 20 years, but none have been in captivity quite long enough for a definitive life-span determination.

Hopefully I can provide a good enough home to have him around for many years.

Cute. And they're not on a watch list or anything? Maybe you could help the little guy and his species out by getting him a lady friend :).

And how do they take to holding? I know some species of reptile actually like affection, but not most, due to the fact they lack nurturing instincts.
