I know some of the people involved and got a heads up to come to a casting call.... I passed. I told Amy aka Athena reality TV was a bad idea but since she didn't listen to me and went forward I wish her the best of luck. The odds are good you'll look like a fool or an asshole, get emotional on TV and walk away with nothing. The way they edit those shows to create characters out of the entrants is something I wouldn't care to take chances with. Then there's having to deal with immature personalities, "internet celebrities" and the shame of being on a show produced by people who understand little to nothing about the gamer "culture" and are simply looking to cash in. Also, of course the acting is obvious, looking at the redhead "rockerchick" for instance some of the people are clearly not being themselves and that probably makes it harder to be around them/on camera with them. I don't know what the mentality behind being so fake is but since I don't have cable somebody out there alert me if she ever refers to "her fans". No honest, PM ME. It's just a hunch I have. But I suppose the risk's worth the reward to some. Heck with the economy the way it is a month of food and board alone isn't that bad a prize.
