Hi gang! Who else likes Hot Sauce?

This being my first review I'll start off with a pleasent sauce that I've gotten into recently, (not hot sauces in general mind you but this one in particular).

Dave's Gourmet Ghost Pepper Sauce.

Ghost peppers, aka Naga or Bhut Jolokia peppers are rated around 1,000,000 scoville units. Standard Tobasco is rated at 2,500 to 5,000 scovilles for reference. So there's a steep uptick in heat. Even though the sauce is not rated at the full 1,000,000 (cursory research yields 90,000+ scoville depending on the source) this is not a beginner sauce.

I give Dave's Ghost Pepper Sauce a solid 5 out of 5 scovilles (yeah that's my rating system yo!) mostly due to its smooth flavor. It's not a vinegar based sauce which I really like so its base is vegetable oil and garlic paste by ingredient lable. The heat comes on in a nice smooth up swing. The heat is not very fast but it gets there and builds for quite a while. The after heat can be fairly strong too so keep that in mind, especially if you make the mistake of getting too much on your chops. I feel it's a great additive for things where garlic is normally employed (so it's excellent on pizza and spaghetti and meatballs etc), only take a few drops mixed in too to blow most people's jaws off.

Over all I highly recommend this sauce. The tag line is "So hot it's spooky" and they ain't lyin'.

I was at Tijuana Flats (Tex Mex place) today, wanted to buy a bottle of Endorphin Rush sauce. The girl at the register said I had to sign a waiver if I wanted to buy any of the top shelf. I was looking at the top shelf and noticed a very small bottle of sauce sittin next to much larger bottles. It was a bottle of Da Bomb The Final Answer sauce. A pepper extract sauce with the proud claim of a 1,500,000 rating. Shit, that's a lot of zeros for a Scoville scale. So I asked for the waiver, looked it over...

You will not sue the pants off of us due to this sauce, won't give to kids, won't be a dumbass. So I signed it WTF right? She goes to ring it up, this is a 2oz, TWO OUNCE bottle. She rings up to 39 bux.... hold on ma'am, lemme check something. Whip out my phone and it's going for 30+ some odd dollars everywhere online (if it's even in stock) plus shipping here and there. Damn man, if shits being sold for thaat much it gotta be legit. So I buy it cuz why the fuck not? Finally get it home. Holy shit, I need a while to collect my thoughts but a single drop was a rush I haven't felt in years. Amazing stuff. Will post a review later.

Sweet, I've always been a fan of spicy food. It'll be good to broaden my horizon besides banana hot sauce and Sriracha hot sauce. Looking forward to the reviews.

Have you ever tried a spicy hotwings challenge? If you can pallette things made with ghost chili. You have a crazy high tolerance haha. Although some sauces made with spicy peppers are sometimes super watered down. I've been disappointed with some sauces I've bought

Oh yeah, almost forgot a review of Da Bomb, oh well, it's still on the way and I'll do a nice three-fer write up and make a post on Mad Dog 357 (really good sauce but I won't review something I haven't gotten a full bottle of), Da Bomb since it's been too long coming, and standard Tabasco sauce just to get it outta the way.
