press the shiny buttons and the badguy goes BAM-O and your character dances for joy :) But seriously, just like any game, do a mix of jumping onto game forums (SRK is a good site like said above) look at some youtube videos, and go into training for a while. Then go and fight the machine for a while until you can start hitting your combos OUTSIDE of training. At which point you can start scrapping noobs online (or at arcades) and learning how to play against better players by losing to them and then getting better :)
light/med punches into specials and then cancel into ultras has been a staple of this kinda fighting game for a while (and if the game didn't have cancels then you usually would just swap the ultra type move with the special). Also grab a lot, which unlike in SC4, won't get AS many ppl screaming GRAPPLE SPAMMER GRAPPLE SPAMMER...although you will still get ppl sending you mean messages I'd assume if you kara throw someone outside of the loop for an entire match .... I actually did that to a guy at an arcade a few days ago (my first tiem on the new game) and it worked wonders. Then I got my ass handed to me by a good guile. At which point next time I play a good guile I'll be better ready for his antics (seeee... I speak da trooffff)

With that MadCatz link I posted earlier, I was just pointing out the obvious. I ended up leaving early from work so I could start digging into SF4. It's good. I still haven't dug into the CE stuff yet because I have been working on unlocking everybody which is taking a while. I plan on providing more detail later on.
And I have been thinking about getting a USB Saturn pad, but I don't trust these people from HK who are selling. Any info would be most appreciated. And if anyone wants to scrap, holla at me.
