I found out today that poison no longer harms you after battles (and kill your Pokemon eventually).

Seriously, has that been like this in the first two gens?

And I still don't know what 70% of the abilities actually do, if I only read their name lol.


Pokemon battling has become a whole new scientific thing. You have to keep SO MUCH in mind when battling.
I kind of miss the time when you only needed an Alakazam with psychic and something else with earthquake. :D

i don't remember much about the specifics in 1st gen, but know it was like that in 2nd gen.

the abilities thing is normal, ESPECIALLY if you skipped a few games. there are some changes to old abilities (like oblivious preventing attraction as well as taunts now) as well as having all the new abilities come into play.

battling has always been about yomi. it's just a bit more complicated now lol.

Pixilate is useless.
Sylveon need Hyper Voice.

I agree that once it has Hyper Voice, it's arguably better than MoonBlast and Dazzling Gleam because it hits harder. Any other normal move turned fairy imho doesn't seem useful. I do find it cute that when a physical attacking pokemon gets infatuated by its cute charm quite amusing though.

If only this were true, Gyara would halt Azumarill and I'd enjoy beating the crap out of that stupid rabbit and more haha.

I think Garchomp might be a good ally to TalonFlame to Blastoise. It seems cool and I see potential of a synergy with them, but Dugtrio is somewhat appealing.


In other news, Greninja and that ability Protean is making me want to build a team around it. I'm gonna make a female one and call it Kuroakchi(Kuro black in Japanese+Croak + Kunoichi) just for lulz. Aside from trying to build a Eeveelution team with Vaporeon in it, and a team around MegaGyara, Greninja appeals to me.
