DMR = Digital Rights Management, this isn't even a new thing dude, this has been around since like 2003 when I was a little kid playing Final Fantasy 11, the only negative to it is that you have to be online once every 24 hours to verify, it's no big deal at all, DRM is in practically everything! Mountain out of a mole hill....

People on message boards like gamefaqs complain all the time about Season passes... DLC skins, Online passes... Pre-order Codes... It's a never ending cycle of people complaining they'll have to pay more money. People want everything for free nowadays, they complain when they need to pay money for porn, they complain why they can't download HollyWood movies for free, they complain when a company bans their Xbox for downloading games (stealing from the company) and they complain... complain... complain....
Should be DRM (Nazi mode on).

why dont you take this to PM's with me? it'd be a shame to drag a personal argument into a thread like this, which has been going as well as to be expected for the most part. if there's anything you can say that would contribute to the topic however, i would love to hear it.

Read my edited version of my post where I said "I usually buy games new" I edited a while ago, please, quit with your little nonsense. I'm not contradicting myself at all, because it was a mis-phrase.

I edited my post within a minute of posting, not my fault it get's quoted within 25 seconds.

EDIT: same to you my friend. now lets keep this civil.

yea its been around for a long time, and nobody has liked it for a long time. to accept it is to support it. i DO NOT WANT DRM, and i know many many many people feel the same way. i will gladly pay a higher retail price to end DRM. this is not about money. READ.

tell people who have poor internet connections or no internet at all that DRM isnt a big deal. or better yet tell me when i try to play my DRM riddled titled 10-20 years down the road and the game's authentication servers have been shut down.

please, go back and read my giant long post. i know its alot to take in, but you'd be better off for it. im not trying to start something here, i just want you to realize that you're incorrectly grouping us.

with that said im not going to continue this any further, because i want this thread to stay open - i feel it has a very important purpose, and has the potential to benifit everybody. again if you'd like to take me up with this in PM's i will more than gladly take it up with you there. but im not going to keep responding to it here.

I agree, DRM doesn't need to be with this next gen of console gaming, I agree. But at the same time, it doesn't really matter either way. If you've got a great to half decent internet connection, being online to verify your content isn't a big hassle. Unless you live in Nigeria with a steady 1 bar connection, then you might get booted off your game after 7 hours.

The point is, DRM is stupid, but it's not a noticeable thing, hell I had DRM in my PC games for the past 7 years before I even understood what DRM meant, and what it did....
