Game of Thrones Discussion Thread (Books and Show)

NEWEST ATTEMPT TO REVIVE THE THREAD:

Make a timeline of events (with this series, it doesn't have to be in exact chronologic order) you want to happen in the next two (probably more like fifteen books with 1500 pages+)books

The Winds of Winter
  • The Battle of Meereen is won by Daenerys' forces and the Iron Fleet. Viserion and Rhaegal were driven mad by the horn, and took flight, going west
  • Stannis meets the other Northern forces and fights the Boltons, taking Winterfell but suffering grievous wounds
  • Jon Snow is actually dead and Melisandre can do nothing for him, believing the Watch will fail, she assumes the command
  • Cersei is given her trial by the Faith and is found guilty, as Ser Robert is revealed to be one of Qyburn's creations. Cersei's planned execution is dated for a month later
  • Margaery is found guilty as well, her execution planned the same day as Cersei's
  • Sansa is wed to Harry Hardyng, who takes her maidenhead. She truly loves him, but Baelish will not let her love anyone but himself. The Blackfish arrives in the Vale, with Jeyne Westerling (who's pregnant)
  • Arya is sent to kill Aegon, the "last male heir" to House Targaryen *cough* Blackfyre *cough*
  • Sansa kills Baelish, is brought to Riverrun by the Blackfish with the Vale's armies
  • Daenerys is brought to Vaes Dothrak, on a promise from Khal Jhaqo that she would be able to leave, recognizing her dragon's power. The fulfillment of the crone prophecy occurs and Daenerys is named the Stallion Who Will Mount the World
  • Theon is given to the Heart Tree, his head cut by the wounded Stannis
  • Asha escapes Winterfell, returning to Pyke and sailing to King's Landing
  • Barristan and Tyrion create plans to sail to Westeros, while Victarion attempts to broker a marriage with Daenerys through her advisors
  • Arianne reaches Storm's End, meeting Aegon and judging him as a temperamental fool. Jon Connington reveals his grey scale to her, however and shows that time is of the essence. Arianne pledges Dorne's armies to Aegon, but hopes for dragons.
  • Jaime and Brienne arrive at the Brotherhood's camp, Jaime being forced to fight Brienne, Stoneheart's champion. Jaime refuses to kill Brienne, but wounds her. Stoneheart attempts to kill them both, but Thoros allows them to escape
  • Viserion and Rhaegal land at Dragonstone, destroying most of the garrison and armies at the fortress, creating a lair of the island
  • Davos reaches Skagos, finding Osha and Rickon. As the Others rise out of the waters, Osha makes them leave her there to fight, vowing to protect them at all costs (OMG IMAGINING NATALIA TENA BEING ALL AMAZING AND MARTYR-LIKE OH GOD YES PLEASE SHE'S SUCH A BADASS)
  • Cersei, driven mad, leaves the city with Tommen, starting a riot. She instructs Qyburn to burn the city to the ground - all but the Red Keep and the Iron Throne
  • Daenerys returns to Meereen with a giant Dothraki khalasar. Tyrion and Victarion finally meet her, and inform her of her dragons' disappearance. Dany kills Victarion, Drogon swallowing him whole. After, Daenerys leaves for Westeros. (oh and Jorah is there, too. My OTP has to happen, okay?!)
  • Melisandre's radical leadership creates a rift between Stannis' forces and the Watch/Wildlings, as a civil conflict nearly breaks out, the Wall falls and thus ends the sixth book

A Dream of Spring
  • Bran finds out that Bloodraven is working for the Others, as are the Children of the Forest. The Children have been plotting to destroy humanity in Westeros, so they resurrected the Others
  • Stannis dies in Winterfell, still believing he is the Prince that Was Promised
  • Arianne is wed to Aegon, and Daenerys reaches Westeros, after retrieving her other children
  • Arya hears of the armies of Arryn moving against House Lannister and Frey, her sister crowned and wed, and reassumes her identity as Arya Stark, heading to The Twins
  • Doran Martell sends the Dornish to Storm's End, meeting Daenerys and Aegon, and proclaims Myrcella dead
  • Aegon and Daenerys begin a second Dance of the Dragons, started when Aegon asked for her hand and a dragon. Aegon captures Rhaegal, but he does not bind himself to his rider. Daenerys is forced to kill Aegon and Rhaegal.
  • Asha reaches the Stormlands and sees the "war" between Daenerys and Aegon, pledging her ships to Daenerys after the battles are done
  • Sansa's armies attack the Twins, as the Brotherhood begins their own assault. Stoneheart meets with Sansa and Arya, her enchantment broken now that her daughters are safe
  • Cersei is found by Jaime and Brienne, where Cersei demands Jaime kill the Maid of Tarth. Jaime sees through her dementia and refuses to kill Brienne. Cersei, broken and mad, pulls a knife on Jaime as he chokes the life out of her. The twins die in each other's arms
  • Rickon is brought to White Harbor, which has seemingly been frozen over. The Others have taken much of the North, but Davos is saved by Coldhands and is brought South to The Twins
  • Tyrion is given Viserion as an act of good will, and is sent to the Reach to call the former Targaryen loyalist banners
  • The Others take the Neck, the crannogmen frozen in their swamps
  • Melisandre is a wight, but remains conscious of her actions. The Others are found to want what was once theirs, with ice and really cold water THEY WILL TAKE IT
  • Arianne vows revenge against Daenerys, but is quelled by her father. She is sent back to Dorne and informs her father of Quentyn's death. Doran is poisoned by Arianne when he refuses to withdraw his armies from Daenerys
  • Daenerys is unsuccessful in garnering the Reach's support, supposedly done with war. Dany must face the Others with the armies of Vale, River, Unsullied, Dothraki, Lannister, and Stark.
  • After a whole bunch of fighting not much of anyone is left, Sansa is widowed, Arya's left hand had been amputated, Daenerys is alive, but Viserion and Tyrion both died in the battle.
  • Following the great battle, Daenerys restores Sansa to the North, with Rickon as her heir. Arianne is punished for her defiance and Dorne withdraws from the Seven Kingdoms. Houses Baratheon, Lannister, and Tully have been extinguished, and takes the Iron Throne. The victory is hollow and she returns to her Dothraki after twenty years of peace, riding her dragon in the black of night. All she left was a baby, with silver hair and purple eyes.
  • Epilogue: Bran is in a wheelbarrow, Hodor pushing him, walking back to Winterfell, telling a story about a queen with silver hair and purple eyes he saw in his half-brother's arms in front of a heart tree. (Pretty much Jon was never dead and she had sex with him and popped out their baby when she was 36)

I'd be a bit overwhelmed attempting to put all my wants into a timeline, but I like a lot of what you're saying. Even if it does leave more questions to answer. What about Euron?
