I actually liked the book a little more.

Also, if you get attached to Sean Bean, you'll cry.

I got in to Dany and him the most.
Obviously, I was pretty upset (anti-spoiler language) when what happened to Rhaego and Drogo happened.

My S1 DVDs were just returned to me today from the little old lady I'd lent them too. She said she wasn't sure if she liked it because the gore was "a bit OTT", even for her and her gory tastes. She also got a bit confused with the crossing storylines, but wants to see S2 because the ending left her "tingly".

And hey, welcome to the fandom guys! To be fair, Sean Bean dies in EVERYTHING he's in.

True. If none of that happened, she would have ended up a bitchy princess probably. She learned to become more independent with Drogo but still relied on him a lot.
