For those still having trouble picking up the game, FSD has been working with Emperor_Cow in preparing a tutorial video series for DOA5. Here's the teaser trailer, we've been spending the past 3 months working on it with a few notable names helping out in explaining the system:

I hate helena, and it's no doubt that her best tool is her force tech game that can be done in any juggle.
It's basically Bass' pickup with better advantage, better looping, and better options after the pick-up. So I hate it, because it's better than Bass.
I think the core issue is 1) the number of ways she has to juggle/put you into it (every juggle), 2) the options she has after the tech including tracking sweeps that reset the entire situation, a throw that launches you from the same position, and linear mid attacks that launch you, or she could play the stun game and do any of the three at any additional time, string delay also makes it difficult to guard/throw punish, and the bokuho duck avoids all normal poking requirements.
So yeah, hate her, but mainly it's because I hate the force-tech system, not so much hate Helena.
