Whose bashing it? I said it's not going to make sense to have a second person there but that's no problem. In Umbrella chronicles you could play co-op as 2 Weskers, so it can't be any stranger than that. Who cares if it makes canonical sense just pretend swat dude isn't there.

^ this is bashing my friend. you somewhat came to a conclusion before the product came out.
There is Residentevil.net
it even keeps track of your progress through the game and what you do. they also hold contest for prizes and what not. like right now they are holding a contest for who can kill the most zombies. and you get points for accomplishing different things in the game and you can use those points to even buy things that are in game. the website is pretty awesome.

That's not bashing my friend, that's calling the sky blue. Oh look, the story in Resident Evil has always been transcendantly retarded. Do I hold that against the games? Fuck no, they're fun as hell regardless of how bad the story is. It's trivial; the gameplay is good enough to keep on playing so the story being bad isn't a significant enough flaw to affect how enjoyable it is for most. Sure it'd be better if the story wasn't stupid but who cares? It's fun and that's what really matters.
