In a world where time is everlasting, there's no such thing as a happening that holds exclusivity over a moment, so the cut of the silver string of this man's life may have occurred at the very same moment where a stick fell.

My final response is, the man died because of his time ended, for a mere coincidence the stick fell at the same time.
