To put oneself out there on the internet is an interesting thing: bold in that anyone can see it and yet meek in its anonymity. Nonetheless, here goes.

Had it not been for 8wayrun's stream on twitch.tv, my first and last taste of Soul Calibur would have been Soul Calibur 2, one of my favorite games for Gamecube. However, the combination of my stumbling onto the stream and the antics of Bibilus, Jaxel, et al, on youtube videos I'd found was enough for me to give the game a try.

And I loved it.

Anyway, I main aPat, a decision I made after receiving a beating from an aPat in a ranked match. I like his style and his difficulty.

I'd also like to mention that I play Tetris, Starcraft 2 and [SSB]Brawl relatively well, and that SCV is probably my weakest game since I'm relatively new to it. Starcraft is probably my best game because of the nature of the game not because I have a lot of RTS experience.

Nice. Welcome to 8wayrun. Just avoid to fall into the endless pit of "self imposed rules" such as "ring-outs are cheap" or
"grabs are so cheap" or "spam is cheap". This is the place to learn to play the game to win, and when you do, it is much more fun.

Also in Smash you can only win by ring-out. (Lol)
