no i dont assume. Brake mechanics fit right above "toilet scrubber" in my shop. Youre not impressing anyone.
Truth be told I really do hope you are successful with your automotive adventure. it is my opinion that tech schools and various "classes" do not impress the people you want to impress these days. Classes give you the BASIC skills needed to maybe get your foot in the door at a midas, or a firestone (they are laughable and should not be called mechanics).

Getting my foot in the door is all I wanted. It's funny you say these ridiculous things because a buddy of mine just got a job at a Ford dealership right out of college.
Everyone knows that a mechanic needs experience before they can rightfully call themselves mechanics. School is more about learning the how's and why's, experience is knowing the tricks of the trade that get a job done faster.
How else was was I supposed to get started? I have no family in the business. A 2 year program is a HELL of a lot better than nothing.
I seriously doubt you taught classes. You have the worst piss-poor attitude I've ever seen. Doesn't matter how good you are, if you talk to people like that you'd be fired, or half the class would drop.
But, if you wanna go around thinking that you're better than everyone, people will hate you for it just as I do.
