Soulcalibur V Patch Announced for March 21

You probably could, but really whats the point. If they see just guarding every hit that means they can run up and still go for a throw attempt unless you can aa them in between it or something. Hell I don't even know if a just guard will successfully make you turn around as you are doing it, that means she can circe around you and get a free back throw if not.

Here's a link to some of the ways I use Viola's CE (text not vid)

Don't give him stuff like this - he's still upset I caught him in an endless chain of BBB - which was hilarious.

No need to actually HELP him do his viola homework till the next time I see him. =P

I know people don't like to admit this, but:

Certain characters have spammable moves. What's happening is you have the most balanced SC ever made... if someone chooses to not play lame. Examples are:

Natsu AAB and 66B: Unpunishable for a lot of the cast. Natsu can fish all day with these moves. The bombs aren't the problem. It's the risks some characters have to take due to the safeness of these moves against them that lead to them running into bombs.

Cervantes aB: If you don't have a strong punisher, this punisher move becomes a high risk poke. 20- damage poke is the best you got? Well, I'm spamming this move non-stop. Safe at far range? Well Argggg!!!

Mitsu 6B8: A less obvious one. It's really hard for a lot of the cast to get around this poke. You can't TC advance and you're too slow with the long range pokes. People write it off due to lower damage, not realizing again that you can be lame and poke all day for half life until you take a risk and let mitsu have his way with you.

The game is balanced if it weren't for a few moves. Now you can either buff these disadvantaged characters, which would still leave their problems with move match-ups, but makes it up elsewhere, or you nerf the problem moves themselves which make the community cry. There really isn't a way to do this without upsetting a majority. So just accept the patch as a step in the right direction.

Wow. People thought this game REALLY needed a Balance?! Seems to me its probably the most balanced SC we've ever had the chance to play competitvely.

Like Really?!?! People Think Natsu and A-Pat are Broke?! People Think Asta and Sieg can't compete? Its not Project Souls fault you guys can't learn how to make a character good, or have a community that is able to do so.

Instead we have endless complaints, and with the power of social media, Project Soul will listen, regardless if said person(s) know what they're talking about.

And thats if this is even a heavy patch. If you played SC4, this is 1.02, minor changes at best.

Whoever else sucks at this game and won't play it post-patch, good for you, you don't deserve to play this game.

Fuckin Noobs

yeah, I'm thinking for the most part that SC5 is pretty well balanced. The main things I think work are the online dcs, and maybe a couple of small changes...maybe a "how to use the block button" tutorial would be good.
