I can't think of back round information for any of the characters for my pilot. I can only think of how they act during the pilot.

so work with that and develop a story around the characters. that way the background will come as you write the screenplay. if this is the first draft, focus on the core elements you want in the story. what do the audience need to know? write that out. and as you go through your rewrites just keep those core elements in mind.

example. being human. the core element: a werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost are roommates. what happens?
