top 10 lists are pretty useless unless you've seen like maybe 20 shows all together. For me at least, I know Air, Kanon, Clannad are up there, but the fact of the matter is, I don't really like any anime as much as I like those shows.
Sure, there are phases of obsession like Haruhi, Nanoha, etc. but the fact of the matter is, most anime is forgettable, though they are fun to watch. For me at least, I tend to be more attached to characters rather than the show itself, and a top 10 characters list would seem a lot less pointless than a top 10 anime list, but that would actually be difficult since its no longer a matter of which random anime will fit some slot that doesn't mean anything to me, but rather, which character do I like should get kicked out. That being said, lists don't really mean anything anyways, other than an exercise in figuring out what you like or trying to get attention from people that like the same thing you do.
On that note, has anyone watched Queen's Blade? It looks absolutely awful, but I want to see it because it has all of my favorite voice actors in it. Mamiko Noto and Rie Kugimiya are hands down my favorite voice actors ever, and add in Aya Hirano, Rie Tanaka, Yuko Goto, Eri Kitamura, and probably some other people I'm forgetting that are top tier below the uber tier the other two are in, and pretty much all you're missing are Nana Mizuki, Yui Horie, and Yukari Tamura. Lol, that's pretty much a top 10 list in itself.
