as I understand there aren't many SC tournaments here in the NYC area that I'd be able to attend

The NY-area scene is pretty active. Jersey, too. The inability to drive is perhaps an issue, but it may not be a totally insurmountable one.

I need tournaments around here (or at least in Oklahoma :D)

Tulsa has had a SC scene forever--that's where I initially came up, before moving to Norcal. I know they still have regular gatherings and events, and I'm trying to get their asses over to 8wr. In the meantime, check okgamers.com. Maybe you could get 'em to post more here, too. =P

After reading this, I feel all the more grateful for having players like KrazieCD and Soakrates in my area to play~

Yea I would be keen to play tournaments or get into playing it with other people in the area but a problem with living in New Zealand, nobody plays Soulcalibur at all really so there are no tournies or groups here that I know of...kinda sucks.

Well nothing starts from sittin on your ass! Start something! Organize an event and find people!
