as it turns out, somehow, the patch made it so that 100% of magic resistances don't work. this means that if you are a nord or breton, your initial perk is completely useless. i tested it myself and my flame atronoch, when summoned, cast fire wall and immediately killed itself. :/
all resistances on both yourself and NPCs and creatures are gonzo. on the plus side, you can now freeze frost trolls...
since i have built my lvl 35 pure mage completely around speedy evasion from enemies and magical resistances, this pretty much completely breaks the game for me. i get one shot killed by dragons and pretty much any casters higher than adept level. :(
looks like skyrim just went from being an amazing game to an amazing beer coaster.
