Maedhros
[10] Knight
Hi. It's Maedhros here (for those who're wondering, it's a character from Tolkien's "Silmarillion"), but I go on PSN as the Serbian language transcription of the name - Maidros.
Back when I was a high school student in 2002, I used to go once a week with my school buddy on 30 minute walks for our hourly sessions of Soul Calibur on Dreamcast in a club. We were simply captivated by it. The first time I saw Kilik jumping off the ground making a figure in the air, or Xianghua's seamless moves, I knew I was playing something a lot better (or at least prettier) than Mortal Kombat or Tekken, that I previously got used to playing.
After that SCII came and not having money to buy ourselves a PS2, we continued visiting the club.
Anyway, my friend was mostly better than me, but I didn't mind. I really enjoyed the sensation of the heat of battle. It was truly unique while it lasted, which was until 2004, when we graduated. :P
SCIV I suddenly started playing at the end of 2009 with my dorm friends in Japan, and when I saw that I'm taking the game a little bit more seriously then others, I decided to start playing it online in may 2010 (back then I used the nick Vrachar_no_G-Man). Eventually, someone recommended to me this forum because of all the truly useful tips (initially, I was lost on how to do Ivy's SS/CS).
Serbia is not a lively player scene when it comes to offline community. If there is a bigger PS3 game arcade center, it's LCDs will be glowing green with PESs and FIFAs, which is to me really annoying. So right now I'm really limited to online, which kinda sucks.
So there you have it. I'm looking forward to having some ggs with people in Europe. Just don't expect too much of me. I'm only starting to get a grasp of what being a good player is. :)
