Taki's Replacement Revealed?!

Sorry people, I would have rathered: As a more violent deciple to avenge whatever happened to Taki. It makes sense for an apprentice to resemble the master in honor within this type of culture right?

Doesn't look pink to me, unless my eyes are suddenly not working.

There's a few people in the Daishi twitter thread speculating Taki is still in the game.

Personally, I find that 100% hopeless. Namco aren't advancing the story with 17 years so they can make clones.
 
Well at least she's Taki's pupil, which at least lends her a little cred. I'm no big fan of Taki's - she's probably my least favourite female in the cast (still think she's great though!) so the following message and my opinion on blondie is not based on a massive pining for Taki. I think it's poor that in a series which gave us females like Sophie, Ivy, Talim, Setsuka and then Hilde in succession, who are all iconic and well thought out design wise, this latest female appears to be the very worst kind of generic, bubble-gum mukokuseki tat. Taki's costume pushed the boundaries of realism to be sure, but at least she looks badass and serious, despite the spandex. I don't need to see this girl in-game to know that I don't like her design - strawberry blonde hair, fuschia pink aerobics leotard, tacky shorts, silly vibe - no thanks. What compounds the issue is the fact that it seemed (so far) that the developers were going for a little more of a gritty, realistic look for SC5, with Seigfried toned down massively from his ice-mech look in SC4, for example. I just hope that any other new characters are better thought out and therefore don't warrant such a cold-to-lukewarm response.
 
Now I'm scared that Ivy might be replaced D: If this does happen, I won't be returning for V. Sorry I need my Ivy

The new fighter looks great. If she is a replacement for Taki, I don't think they made a bad decision with her. Or maybe this is Taki's second attire? Or a created character with Taki's fighting style (hence Shira & Cervantes) This is probably their new way of bringing in new faces.
