Given the timing, if they used Dante it would probably be this Dante:

I pray to god they don't make Dante a guest character. I can see how well it would market the game because his army of fans and shit but for gods sake please please please do not put him in yet another game because he was an anti-hero with a sense of humor in flashy games.
 
Kinda disapointed in the 17 year skip.. Granted its a great reason to make a bunch of new characters, but that will either force them to age out nearly all of the current cast, or just graphic fake them into still looking young. Sophitia would be like 42 years old by then..
