are you really sticking up for bin laden?
I don't see how he was sticking up for Bin Laden. It's just that, there are some (not all) people celebrating like world peace has been achieved, when they're forgetting how much time, money, and most importantly, how many lives it took to take down this one guy.
Osama is filth and for the things he has done, he didn't deserve to live. We all agree on that point. Hopefully, his death will be the final nail in the coffin for Al-Qaida, who have allready been strangely qiuet for a while now. One of the questions is, is his death gonna do any good, or will it serve as a catalyst?
Theoretically, Al-Qaida could treat Bin Laden as a matyr i.e. a just cause to fight for, re-ignited by this action. And I'm not talking about simply suicide bombings. It could foster hate again. Isn't it possible we could end up with something similar to the resentful Germany after WW1? It won't be to the same extent as that, but still. I'm not American myself (perhaps that's why I'm thinking this? I dunno), but frankly, I would feel uneasy until Pakistan and the other countries involved have said more about this. They've been strangely quiet (either that or they're being drowned out by everything else) Hopefully, my fears are wrong and that there's nothing to worry about. Perhaps then there'll be a
little more peace in the world.
Also, it was ridiculous how quickly that fake picture of dead Bin Laden (the rather gruesome mugshot) spread (I hear it was shown on a number of French news programmes)
