But that depends on the type of audience. If it's just a circle of friends, online spectators (XBL & PSN) and/or anyone with no experience or lack thereof in tournies & gatherings, then I wouldn't take info from those group of ppl.
I say sum1's ability to adapt as well as having a vast knowledge of characters as well as different play-styles is what makes the player good. Players who place themselves to the top demonstrate such. They are exposed to different characters and play styles from many battles in tournaments and gatherings.
Nope, I wasn't judging anyone by any means or at least I wasn't trying to. However, there are offline players who are too quick to judge. And so you believe your experience as an offline player qualifies you to judge the skill of any player?
Well it depends who I consider top players. I haven't mentioned names but at least from my perspective I'm not looking at American tournaments alone. If this is what you believe your vastly mistaken. The skill of an individual can't be measured simply. The possibility of some no name individual showing up to any random gathering or tournament and completely destroying these top players you mention is always highly possible.
Yes I stand where I stand. While I do agree there are good players out there the question is how do you prove it? How do we know that this individual is exceptionally good? How can we tell if Babalook, Freaky-Styley, Tidal-Leaf (online individuals) are gonna do well offline?Where you stand, a player must pass the test of tournaments to be considered good. From where I stand a good player is a good player, whether offline or online, whether I know of him or not.
