The Weight Loss Thread

Alright, so after enough time procrastinating, I have decided to really do something about my weight. I was really thin most of my younger life. In fact, on graduation at 18 I weighed 128lbs, wore 28 waist pants, and was fine as all heck (in my own opinion, of course). I'm 26 and today, after having weighed myself on my Wii balance board using the game EA Active Sports, I weigh at present 191lbs. (Blah...)

Enough of that, man... I'm going to take control. As a Hispanic, I ain't tryin' to be no diabetic. I'm not doing this for the women, though that isn't much a problem even now, or for any other superficial reason other than I wanna avoid any health problems and wanna feel good about myself. All the other--attention from females and what not--will just be perks.

Today I'm on Day 2 of my diet and exercise plan. I'm using this thread as my motivation and personal log and want to share it with the rest of the Calibur community. I also am interested in hearing your opinions and expressions of your own weight loss challenges, plans, and victories.

Now real talk, I seen some of y'all. Some y'all in the same boat as me. Except for people like Whoazz, Mick, Omar, and InsaneKhent (skinny, frail b*tches). I'm gonna be in that category soon enough too. My target goal is to be 150 lbs. (That's 41 lbs I have to lose.) Let's go... (I might update with pics in the future.)

*This was me a few years ago at about 140 lbs.-150 lbs. This is my motivation. Dang I can be a sexy beast. I'm gonna live up to my name again.

Who are you calling frail?!!? Come to Rob's house tomorrow night so I can challenge you to a FT19 in thumb wrestling, loser has to throw themselves out of a second-story window.

That's what's up man! If you ever need help or tips i'll help in any way I can. This is kinda like the idea that SWbeta was introducing from SRK. You should get some people to join in with ya, people working out together with you > working out alone.

this year at DEVASTATION in july, i was a chunky 238 lbs. i'm also 6'2" and somewhat muscular, so 200 lbs is like the ideal weight for me. in the past 6 months i've dropped 35 lbs and am now hovering right on my goal!

the tricks for doing it, for me, were pretty simple. first, i cut out all soda and fruit juice completely. then, i set a four hour timer and made myself eat every time it went off to boost my metabolism. finally, and this was the hardest part, i banned myself from eating anything after 9 pm.

this worked great for me! i didn't have to exercise any more than normal, didn't have to monitor what i was eating, didn't have to cut out daytime snacking or cheeseburgers or anything like that.

good luck on your mission!
