E3 2010 Love it or Hate it thread

Several developers that have experienced 3DS in its current form have reported, off the record, that it has processing capabilities that far exceed the Nintendo Wii and bring the device with abilities that are close to HD consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Those are some big word Nintendo. from images and vids, I say no, but power isn't measured in graphics alone, to be fair. I'm sure it takes a bit of horsepower to make it 3d as well... I love the trailer though "Sorry to keep you waiting!" NICE!

Well Chickenwing, there is always a point in any presentation when you can tell that a vision is going wrong... just like Fonzie jumping over a shark with his motorcycle. With Microsoft, Dance Central was actually pretty cool, and an ingenious way to use the technology... but once Kinectimals happened, we all knew it, we were all thinking it... but the "hardcore" scene on the 360 has lost it's way...

As for Nintendo, I think that point was years ago when they created "Wii". But at least this year, when they weren't talking about Wii Party or Wii shake our dicks at each other, they actually brought it back to the hardcore. There was no vitality sensor, which was good. Although the "interference problems" have my questioning. Why did the interference problems ONLY happen when Miyamoto was aiming the bow and arrow? Not to mention, why couldn't Miyamoto do simple things which are supposed to be simple with the new Wii Motion plugs?

See, I still think Sony went above and beyond with the PS3. Standardized everything, with bluetooth. Use any hard drive, use any headset, use any mouse and keyboard, hell, you can even use any USB controller. Not to mention, Sony released their own "Kinect" years ago. The way I see it, Sony already has everything Microsoft has, for cheaper and higher quality. Hell, now that PS3 is going to have Steamworks, they are even pushing into PC territory (remember that the PS3 supports mouse and keyboard).

BTW, I hate Steamworks... I think Impulse::Reactor is SOOOOO much better. After the fiascos with Battlefield and Supreme Commander 2, I will probably never buy a game that requires Steamworks... and will be the reason I don't plan on getting Civ5 anymore.

TBH, Sony's show actually revealed. Games. Which I was happy to see.
-New Twisted Metal
-Portal 2 with Steamworks

Were pretty much THE highlights for me.

MvC3 footage out an about. Dante and Deadpool are a joy to see in action. Game looks good to me.

Microsofts show. very few things grabbed me. Namely the redesigned Xbox 360. seriously, it should have been this out the gate. Gears 3 looks nice, although I already know the MP will piss me off, the 4 player co-op is a deal sealer. Halo reach's campaign trailer I didn't care much for. After playing the Beta last month, I got a good taste of what to expect from the series meat and potatoes, the Multiplayer.
