I'm sure some of you 8wayrunners have something to vent about in God of war III. Go ahead post it here...

I have to vent that there already is a topic on GoW III that is dead in the depths of Hades because 8wayrunners are mostly drawn to Japanese games and shit.

I am still waiting to get my hands on the UE ..

Anyone seen the PS3 God of War 3 commercial?

Fucking. Hilarious.

After spending all night beating this (so tired lol), I'll post my vent.
Overall it was a very good game and I did enjoy playing it, but I was disappointed in some of the Story elements.
**SPOILERS**

1) Gaia Betrayal Scene
When Gaia betrays Kratos, it seemed rushed. At the point were Karatos could not hold on to Gaia, Gaia reveal her true nature and tells Kratos he was her pawn. But this scene just doesn't really fit because Gaia should know that even if Karatos fell, he would some how make it back to Olympus and then he would kill her. I mean if you look at his adventure in GOW1 & GOW2 falling off a cliff and entering the underworld is nothing to him. Gaia was cunning manipulative but look sincere, and the developers took that out in GOW3.

What I'd Change
It would have been better for Gaia to reveal her true intention if they had Kratos and Zeus fight first. And then having Gaia wait for an opportunity to kill Zeus. Kratos and Zeus then struggle to gain control of the Olympus blade, then Gaia proceeds to crush then both, and now at this point she can reveal her true intentions. Then Zeus would use this thunder explosion and send Kratos and Gaia falling, and the rest would be the same.
It not a big issue, but the story would be much more thrilling and suspenseful.

They also change the voice actress for Gaia (I think), GOW1 & GOW2 she sounded calm and poised and GOW3 she sound chaotic. I guess they did that to make the story flow better. But in general voice acting in GOW3 is not as good as GOW2.

2) Ending/Athena
The whole adventure is for Kratos to die. GOW1 Establish Kratos' story and at the end of GOW1 he jump of the highest cliff to die. He is save by Athena. GOW2 Establish the conflict between him and the rest of the gods. GOW3 is the Full Circle were he end up were he started. GOW1 at the end he was suppose to die. At he end of GOW3 after the end credits have finished you see a trail of blood that leads to the edge of the cliff. Even though you don't see him jumping I think it was to be symbolic.

But there is one real issue that made me feel disappointed, and that is the ending didn't conclude. It just felt you did this big adventure knowing that Kratos will die and that he'll die by his own hands, but in-turn you expect a solid conclusion that would cover every character ultimate fate and the fate of the world, thus leaving no doubt to the audience. But there are issues now unresolved, the World is in peril/chaos but there is "Hope" does that "Hope" save humanity?

Then there is Athena who is now incorporeal(the developers should have explanation more on her new state), but what is her goal and now what we'll she do since Kratos kills himself (also did he sacrifice his life so humanity can have "Hope", does that mean he could become incorporeal as well?). Also the last piece of dialog is Athena saying "You disappoint me. Spartan." ...... It just a very unsatisfying. But maybe the developers can answer some of the unresolved issues if they plan to do another sequel (although if there is I doubt Kratos will be in it).

But still, this was a very good game and the developers put alot of effort.
