Interesting article IMO. I didn't know YouTube was losing that much money but it does make a lot of sense.
The site obviously isn't just going to disappear with Google as its backer/owner because they're pulling in enough demographic data to then opt it out to other companies and theoretically make their money back. Which they're probably already doing behind the scenes to make up some of the cash difference. And personally, I've been using NoScript on Firefox for about 2 years now, so the ads that are out there in the first place I'm not even seeing.
Anyway the point of posting this was to inquire what types of sites you guys are willing to pay for, from a subscription/content perspective.
Everybody looks at the porn at least sometimes but I've never paid a penny for any of it. Ever. So have we all been spoiled these last 10 years of the internet or what? Are there any websites you guys frequent that you'd be willing to pay subscription costs for?
