For those of you complaining about ROTF...

Look... Bay did good with what he had to work with. The whole cartoon series is nothing but one big toy ad in itself. The only reason Transformers exsisted was to sell the toys. And at what point in the cartoon series are you actually going to get any kind of movie material? Getting an actual movie plot is work in and of itself. Bay had to invent a reason for the Decepticons to stay around. They want something...they need something. That thirst is what keeps them coming back.

Nothing will beat the epicness of the first. But if you look back at the styles you might see something you missed. I think the action in this movie was better due to the fact that you saw more of it. In the first movie you could get lost under the transformers fighting. Bay did a better job of showing you more in this one.

Also...I think he established that without Prime the Autobots are screwed.

One thing about those confused how megatron gained a new tank-mode :

when the decepticons that dove down to rescue him, one of them got torn apart by the others for "parts" to boost megatron. Obviously his contribution was nowhere as great as jetfire's.

Michael Bay isn't a writer. His writing contributions are generally limited to "More explosions here." Or "Put in a couple offensive urban stereotypes are main characters."
