Street Fighter 4: ....Screw it, I tried.

i'm talking about combo systems, frame data, Just frames, anti char strats, GI, stances, soul gauge system, and painful executions. Now, the music in SC4 i actually like but that has little to do with the gameplay and not as important.

Now Here's SF4, Hold back... focus attack... little combo... fireball... fireball... whirly spinny shit... repeat.

I don't like SF4 either, but it's pretty clear you don't know what you're talking about. You don't think SF4 has combos, frame data, just inputs, or anti-character strategies?

Where are these "painful executions" in SC4, by the way? I'll give you SS/CS. That's one.

Now here's SCIV: Hold guard. . . dance around a little. . . BB. . . BB. . . little combo. . . oki oki oki. . . repeat.
 
I have to say, i can't even come close to understanding how you feel that. I could see gimmicky with the star wars characters, i'll give you that. Buttttt... How could anyone say the characters in SC4 look bad.... and depth? You are saying that people would dare say there is no depth to SC?? Sorry, last time I checked, SFIV's roster does not only consist of Ryu or Ken. That's about as silly as saying SCIV's cast only consists of Hilde or Algol. Here you are:

"Now Here's SCIV, Hold G... step...doom combo...bubbles...bubbles...1A...repeat"

If you bothered to realize shoto scrubs are about as successful in the SFIV scene as Kilik scrubs are in the SCIV scene you'd realize that there is no end all be all strategy to win in that game. Sure SFIV has Sagat and Ryu, but SCIV has Hilde and Algol. And to say SCIV has painful execution? Unless you're a Setsuka main, I see no reason for you to even ATTEMPT to make such a statement about SCIV. It's WAAAY more lenient than SFIV when it comes to execution. Mash-able JFs, that is all I have to say about execution in SCIV.
 
I'll grant that the game is relatively slow, but that's what I enjoy most about it. I've compared it with my Super Turbo HDR, and the two games are worlds apart. 4 can take 3x as long to play a round than ST does. I don't like it when a game can be over in less than a minute. That struggle and tension makes victory or defeat much more defining to me.

....and that's my problem. a shoto scrub make a match long by jumping backwards shooting fireballs and an uppercut every now an then.
 
Aside from the fact that everybody can simply jump over the fireballs, zoning is actually easier to combat here with the use of the focus cancel. Focus, take the hit, dash in, free increase to Revenge gauge. I've charged that thing to almost full just sitting back, taking the fireball hits, then healing up. Hey, look at that free Ultra move I just got! You're so thoughtful, it's what I always wanted!
 
Since this has become the SF4 whining thread I will whine here.
WTF is up with the command interpreter in this game? It's so fucking dumb. Like I get seismos when I try to do thunder knuckle all the time. And instead of Ultra I get EX thunder knuckle feint. Awesome. I'm playing on stick in case you were wondering.
